Abstract

In this paper, we analyze the influence factors on light leakage of dark state for RGBW design by using different pixel designs and different backlights (BL) . W pixel is introduced on the basis of RGB pixels, which causes the deterioration of leakage in dark state. To further study the influence factors, we separate LCD panel as array glass and color filter glass (CF) and measure their transmittances under different types of BLs. Additionally, we choose different types of LC and investigate the influence of the scattering index of LC on light leakage of dark state.
